I experience many developments in my life that mainly take place internally. As you get older, they say, you also become wiser. Whether that is true is always the question. But I am convinced that there is only one constant, and that is change. And that change has both physical and mental-psychological components. In other words, a lot is happening in your body and in your brain. It has become clear to me that the art is to seek and hold on to the silence amidst that tumult, which you mainly find in the Now. For example, being in the flow, as I experience when painting, is that state of being. I try to capture that with this painting.
