The Public Award of the Amateur Exhibition in Huize Kernhem won!

I participated in the traditional AmateurXposition that is organized every year in December by Huize Kernhem in Ede. This year for the 32nd time already. There were over 50 participants drawn this year and the works are judged by a professional jury that awards three prizes, and the audience is also a jury and could express their favorite by casting a vote. Every visitor took advantage of this opportunity.
 

I offered the painting titled Turning to the light for this exhibition and what surprises me? The audience cast the most votes for my work and that earned the audience award! I feel honored and am very happy with this special recognition. Personally, I think this award says the most about whether what you create touches people, and that is exactly why I do it. This is very inspiring and motivating and gives me an indication that I am on the right track. Very grateful!
